Louis Tomlinson’s father, Troy Raymond Austin was born in the year 1969, in Doncaster, per Famechain. This means that Troy is 54 years old as of 2023. He is the son of Harry Austin and Tina Austin. He and his father had an estranged relationship but it is unknown if the father and son were able to reunite or not.

Troy Austin said in 2018 that he was “starting another chapter” of his life and he would “love for that to involve” his father. His father Harry reportedly had a military career and worked as a station manager at Southampton’s St Mary’s Fire Station. Troy’s mother died from a rare bone marrow cancer at age 67. Earlier this year Johannah was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of leukemia that required immediate and continuous treatment. We respectfully request that the family are given time and space to grieve in private.”

Troy Austin is said to have “threatened to drop a bombshell” in an attempt to get back into his son Louis Tomlinson’s life, according to the Daily Mail. Troy had his hopes up at the time Louis was expecting a child with Briana Jungwirth. He thought that would bring him and Louis together. Troy hadn’t spoken to Louis since they argued during a phone call.

A source said: “Troy has always wanted to repair that relationship – but if Louis isn’t prepared to do so, he’s told a few friends he has something which would really throw a grenade into things. He sees it as his final shot at getting Louis’s attention, and he’s said he will drop the bombshell if he feels it’s the only option he’s got left, even though it would come as a massive shock.”

Troy Austin Was Diagnosed With Cancer In 2018

Louis Tomlinson’s estranged father, Troy Austin was diagnosed with liver cancer in May 2018. He underwent a four-hour surgery to remove a tumor, according to The Sun. He had blood tests which revealed the cancerous tumor on his liver. In an interview, Troy said: “The staff have been brilliant. The doctors are amazing and the nurses are hilarious, they really lift your spirits every day.”

“The NHS might get criticised in some quarters but I have had a great service. I believe my tumour was down to drinking and smoking. I can’t blame it on anything else. Each day I was smoking up to 25 cigarettes and drinking six to eight cans of Tyskie, a Polish lager. And my diet was terrible. It was Chinese and Indian takeaways and a lot of chips,” Troy added.

“Some days I wouldn’t eat at all but would just drink and smoke. I would drink to celebrate the good times and drink to cope with the bad. Whatever life threw at me I would drink. And there was stress. The stress of my mum dying in March last year and my dog Okee died five days before Christmas.”

“I had lived with him for 14 years and anyone who has had a dog will know how hard that has been. I am just so happy that I was diagnosed early.” A 1½in tumor was removed for Troy at Sheffield’s Northern General Hospital. He said: “The crazy thing is I didn’t have any symptoms. I went to the doctor about something else and just had this idea of asking about blood tests.”

“Early diagnosis is everything. I’ve been crying tears of joy because I feel so lucky to have been given a second chance. If just one person also gets a second chance by reading this then it will all have been worthwhile.”
