“This Is What You Campaigned for, keep Quiet And Suffer” – Ghanaians To Stranded SHS 3 Students

The Ghana Education Service (GES) timetable provided for SHS 3 students stipulated that they are to report on 6th April after Easter break and learn until May 28th, for vacation. Reports and information indicate that some of the students had already reported to their various schools only to realize the date has been changed.

The Ghana Education Service released a Press Statement telling the public that, the SHS 3 students are to stay home until Wednesday, 5th May 2021 before they can return to school. The sad part of it is that this news came in late as some have already reported in their schools. GES has apologized profusely for any inconvenience caused but some Ghanaians still seem to be angry as they ‘blast’ them for poor management.

In view of this situation, some social media users said that the SHS students should cope with whatever situation the Free SHS policy under President Akufo-Addo has brought to them because they were the very same people who campaigned for him to win the elections again. Check out some comments from some Ghanaians below:

A Facebook user known as Marvelous Mensah said that “This is what you campaigned for so you should embrace it. You have a Professor assisted by a Doctor and a Lawyer heading such an institution and yet you were unable to think outside the box”.
