Luis Fernando Escobar was born in 1958, in Rionegro, Colombia to Hermilda de los Dolores Gaviria Berrío and Abel de Jesús Escobar Echeverri. His full date of birth is unknown. His father was a small farmer and his mother was a teacher. His parents gave birth to seven children in total, meaning Luis has six siblings.

Luis Fernando Escobar is the brother of Roberto de Jesús Escobar Gaviria (Roberto Escobar), Pablo Emilio Escobar Gaviria (Pablo Escobar), Alba Marina Escobar, Argemiro Escobar, Luz María Escobar, and Gloria Inés Escobar. Luis came from a poor family. Luis’ maternal grandparents are Inés Berrío and Roberto Gaviria.

Luis’ paternal grandparents are Sara María Echeverri and Pablo Emilio Escobar. Luis is said to have been focused on his education but his educational background and qualifications are unknown. What Happened To Pablo Escobar’s Brother?

Pablo Escobar’s brother Luis Fernando Escobar was reportedly assassinated. In 1977, Luis Fernando and his lover, Viviana were kidnapped by a drunk policeman. The two were ‘accosted’ at night by an undercover policeman identified as Eliecer. Per reports, Eliecer used to be the one assigned to infiltrate Pablo’s organization.

Eliecer, the undercover policeman was removed from the case because he failed to acquire meaningful information. Eliecer drunkenly forced Luis Fernando and his partner, Viviana into their newly bought jeep. Eliecer who was too drunk, drove the car off a high cliff, leading to all three passengers killed.

Luis Fernando’s siblings Roberto Escobar and Pablo Escobar were arrested but they managed to escape. Roberto later turned himself in, to the authorities. On December 18, 1993, while still in prison, Roberto was injured by a letter bomb in his prison cell. After over 10 years in prison, Roberto was released in 2006.

Pablo Escobar on the other hand was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment before escaping. He went into hiding after his escape, leading to a nationwide manhunt. Pablo was found on 2 December 1993 and killed by Colombian National Police, a day after his 44th birthday. He died in Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia after he was shot while trying to escape from the roof.
