Gordon P. Robertson is the son of Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson and also the President and CEO of the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) and  Operation Blessing International, CBN’s humanitarian organization. Gordon is the main host of The 700 Club, the show founded by his father. In 1996, Gordon also created CBN Asia’s flagship television show, The 700 Club Asia, which is now one of the longest-running Christian television shows in the Philippines and is distributed by satellite around the world. The channel’s humanitarian organization, Operation Blessing Philippines, has been recognized as “NGO of the Year” by the Philippine government.

How old is Gordon P. Robertson?

Gordon P. Robertson was born on  June 4, 1958, in New York City, New York, United States of America. He is 65 years old as of 2023. He is the son of  Pat Robertson and his wife Adelia Elmer Robertson. Aside from Gordon, the couple also has three other children-  Tim RobertsonElizabeth Faith Robertson, and Anne Carter Robertson. Gordon is the third child of the couple, following Tim and Elizabeth. Gordon graduated from Yale University in 1980 and earned his Juris Doctor degree cum laude from Washington and Lee University in 1984. He then practiced law in Norfolk, Virginia, for 10 years.

Gordon P. Robertson had a profound religious experience that changed the course of his life in 1994 while on a short-term mission trip to India which made him leave the practice of law. The following year, he moved his family to Manila Philippines to start the Asian Center for Missions.

Gordon nearly died in 1995 after contracting drug-resistant cerebral malaria in a refugee camp on the Thai-Myanmar border. After vomiting blood, Robertson went to the hospital. A Filipino pastor, visited him in the hospital to pray for him. Days later, he confessed to hearing a voice telling him, “Get up, get to work, for I have healed you.

After the hospital’s attending physician run a blood test it was confirmed that he had recovered from the malaria. The Doctor said- “you should have died because we caught this too late, but now I can’t find any malarial parasites in your blood.” Gordon P. Robertson left for work again immediately.

The organization’s mission is to train and send Asian missionaries all over the world. ACM is now one of the Philippines’ largest missionary organizations, with over 2,000 graduates trained in cross-cultural missions. Following in his father’s footsteps, Pat Robertson’s son Gordon created CBN Asia’s flagship television show, The 700 Club Asia, in 1996, which is now one of the Philippines’ longest-running Christian television shows and is distributed globally via satellite.

CBN Asia also founded a humanitarian organization, Operation Blessing Philippines, in 1996, which was named “NGO of the Year” by the Philippine government. Gordon P. Robertson also established CBN centers in Indonesia, India, Hong Kong, and other countries, following the model established in Manila. In 1999, he returned to the United States.

When Gordon was 2 years old, Pat and his wife Dede Robertson started Christian Broadcasting Network in Portsmouth, Virginia. Years later, his father appointed him “Ambassador at Large” for CBN with the goal of reproducing CBN in Asia.  Gordon assumed a full-time host position on The 700 Club show on October 1, 2021, when Pat Robertson announced on the show that he was stepping down.

Gordon P. Robertson is the Executive Producer of CBN Films, Gordon has produced a number of documentaries and features, including I Am Patrick: The Patron Saint of Ireland, In Our Hands: The Battle for Jerusalem, Temple of Heaven, filmed in China and Christmas: The Story Behind the Traditions just to mention a few. Gordon is also the Executive Producer of Superbook, the reimagined animation series.

  Gordon P. Robertson’s wife is Katharyn Robertson. Gordon met his wife Katharyn (née Banks) in 1988 and the couple tied the knot in 1989 in a beautiful wedding ceremony in the presence of their friends, families, and loved ones. They live in Virginia and they have three children and 1 grandchild.

Gordon P. Robertson’s mother Adelia Elmer Robertson passed away in April 2022 at the age of 94. “Mom was the glue that held the Robertson family together. She was always working behind the scenes. If it weren’t for Mom, there wouldn’t be a CBN,” Gordon Robertson said. His father Pat Robertson is 93 years old as of 2023.
