Aisling has zero biological siblings but she has a half-brother, Astile Doherty who was born on July 12, 2003. Aisling’s Mother Denied Affair With Her Father
Aisling Doherty’s parents Pete Doherty and Lindi Hingston never got married but they were in a relationship. Aisling’s mother Lindi denied being involved in a relationship with her father Pete. Lindi even sued over claims that she slept with Pete Doherty. Lindi was unhappy with the news that was circulating regarding her alleged affair with Pete being the reason he split from Kate Moss.
Pete Doherty used to be in a relationship with British model Kate Moss and their relationship was frequently covered by the press but it ended. Lindi went ahead to sue the now-defunct News of the World for damages, making it and other newspapers which repeated the claims issue humiliating retractions.
‘Ms. Hingston has never had physical relations with Pete Doherty and has met him only once’, the newspapers later reported. However, Lindi Hingston eventually claimed that her daughter Aisling Doherty is the child of Pete Doherty. She told the South African Sunday Times that she had Aisling in Cape Town on Boxing Day.
Lindi Hingston who was asked why she opened up about her alleged relationship with Pete Doherty said: ‘People started asking questions. The fact is we’re not hiding the child. We want to be truthful and factual.’ Meanwhile, Lindi Hingston informed Pete of her pregnancy while he was serving time in Wayland Prison, Norfolk.

Pete Doherty had been sentenced to six months in jail for possession of cocaine, following the inquiry into the death of Robin Whitehead but he was later released. Pete admitted that Aisling Doherty is indeed his daughter. ‘Yeah, she’s mine,’ he confessed. Pete wasn’t pleased about Lindi Hingston’s discussion with the South African Sunday Times about Aisling.
‘I’m really surprised she’s done that… He added: ‘The little girl was two months premature. I said I’d try to be there for the birth. You know what, I don’t want to talk about that.’
