George Samuel’s Parents Divorced In 2011
George Samuel Lazenby’s parents George Lazenby and Pam Shriver are not married anymore. They were married on June 12, 2002. Pam filed for divorce from George in August 2008, after six years of being married. Documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court cite “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce.
In May 2011, George Lazenby and Pam Shriver’s divorce was finalized. Pam claimed that George threatened to kill her. She accused George of assaulting her in a “drunken rage and giving alcohol to their three children”. George has denied all the accusations. Pam said George needs help “not only for alcoholism but also for anger management”.
Pam Shriver revealed in her court papers that George Lazenby “has threatened to kill me if I seek custody of the children”. She claims he bruised her arms and two months later twisted her ear. She said George “argues and fights with me in front of the children”. George admits to leaving marks on Pam’s arms. He said:
“I felt horrible and told her so’ – but says: “This event was, in reality, a disagreement about our nanny not supervising our son. “I heard our son screaming and I ran to him. I found that the nanny was in the shower, while our son was in the midst of a fit.” He adds that Pam “did not seem to be concerned. I grabbed her arms, to get her attention. I was upset at what I perceived to be a complete lack of concern for our son.”
Pam Shriver said: “We were having a hard discussion about whether we could continue together under one roof. When the conversation turned to the kids, he said, “If you take the kids, I will kill you”. Later, Pam said the two of them discussed “this horrible incident” and she says he told her “it was just his Australian manner and some humour – however, the mood and tone was all serious and I was devastated”.

Pam Shriver said George Lazenby’s “severe anger management issues, alcoholism and poor parenting skills place our children at risk”. She said his anger affects their children “mostly emotionally, however sometimes physically”. Pam and George had to fight for the custody of their three children.
George Lazenby revealed that he never abused Pam Shriver or any of their children. “She is a very competitive person – this is the cause of her success on the tennis court,” he said. “Her actions seem to indicate that she is more interested in winning and controlling the situation than what is best for our children.”
George Lazenby claimed Pam Shriver had been taking a “nightly cocktail” of prescription painkillers and sleeping pills with alcohol. Pam said: “I deny every single allegation that I am ever anything but cognisant and able to function well in all areas.”
