Tim Curry’s mother was a school secretary
Tim Curry’s mother Patricia was a school secretary. She was married to James Curry a Royal Navy chaplain. Patricia’s husband passed away when her son was just 12. He passed away of pneumonia in 1958. Tim was not the only child of his parents- He has an elder sister whose name was Judith Curry. Tim’s parents met in Malta during World War II and were married in Egypt, where their first child, Judith, was born.
Judith was a concert pianist. She died of a brain tumour in 2001- two years after her mother’s passing. The family spent most of Tim Curry’s childhood in Plymouth, however, Tim himself was conceived in South Africa, born in Cheshire, and by the time he was six months old the family had moved to Hong Kong and then to Plymouth.

Unfortunately, Patricia Curry’s son has been having some health issues over the last decade or so and it has caused complications when it comes to performing. The iconic actor had a serious stroke in 2012 that left him requiring the use of a wheelchair. “Tim had a stroke last July,” the actor’s rep told The Hollywood Reporter in 2013. “He has been going to physical therapy doing very well and still has his great sense of humor. He thanks everyone for sending good wishes.“
Tim may have lost mobility after the stroke Distractify reported but the situation did nothing to diminish his love of acting. Being in a wheelchair has led him to scale back public appearances, but the star still appears for certain special events and ceremonies. Tim Curry’s mother Patrica Curry died in June 1999 after living with cancer for two years.
