Sandra Zober was born on December 16, 1927, in Cordova, Chugach Census Area, Alaska, USA, the daughter of Archie Zoberblatt and Annie Genia “Ann” Grad Zoberblatt. She was a graduate of the University of Southern California. Sandi was a costume designer and actress per her IMDB profile. She is known for In Search of… (1977) and Vincent (1981). Sandy loved literature and jazz and was active in Democratic Party politics.

 After being together for more than three decades in their marriage, the husband reportedly left Sandra Zober on her 56th birthday and they called their marriage a quit in 1987. Nimoy moved on and married his second wife, actress Susan Bay. Throughout their marriage, Sandra and Leonard lived in a house in Westwood, Los Angeles, and Sandra Zober continued to live in this house after the divorce until her death at age 83 from cardiovascular disease.

A year after their marriage ended, Sandra Zober said, “I spent the first 15 years being the only one who believed in [Leonard] and struggling with him. I believe I had a lot to do with where he is now.” To help herself move on, Sandra joined a support group for women divorced from Hollywood stars that were initially called Life After Divorce Is Eventually Sane (LADIES). The group was later renamed the Hollywood Dumpettes.

Sandra Zober passed away on 2 April 2011 at the age of 83 in Westwood, Los Angeles County, California, USA. According to her Obituary, Sandi, died at her home in Westwood of cardiac complications.

In February 2014, Sandra Zober’s ex-husband, Nimoy revealed publicly that he had been diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), a condition he attributed to a smoking addiction he had given up about 30 years earlier. On February 25, 2015, Nimoy fell into a coma, and died of complications from COPD on February 27, at the age of 83, in his Bel Air home.
