Paul McCallum was born in the United Kingdom. He is the son of David McCallum and his first wife, actress Jill Ireland. David has six siblings: a biological sibling- Val McCallum, four half-siblings from his parents’ other second marriages, and an adopted brother, the late Jason McCallum.

In 1957, Jill Ireland met and married actor David McCallum after the couple met while working on the film Hell Drivers (1957). Paul McCallum’s parents were married for about a decade before their marriage came to an end. Per the mirror, David, a young actor trying to make his name in the industry, had his wife stolen by his mega-famous co-star Charles Bronson.

However, David McCallum is remarkably sanguine about it. “I never hated him, Charlie was always a good friend,” he says. “I find that when problems come along, worrying about them and getting anxious and negative is quite unnecessary. You can solve them, usually amicably. That’s what happened.”

Per reports, after meeting actress Jill during filming, Bronson told David, “I’m going to marry your wife”, he insists: “I have absolutely no recognition of that.” Together Ireland and Bronson had a daughter, Zuleika, and adopted a daughter, Katrina. Paul McCallum’s father is now married to Katherine Carpenter and had two more children- Sophie McCallum and Peter McCallum. They have been happily married for more than 5 decades.

She appeared in films including about five episodes of The Man from U.N.C.L.E.: “The Quadripartite Affair” (season 1, episode 3, 1964), “The Giuoco Piano Affair” (season 1, episode 7, 1964), “The Tigers Are Coming Affair” (season 2, episode 8, 1965), and a two-parter “The Five Daughters Affair” (season 3, episodes 28 & 29, 1967).

Per IMDB, Paul is known for Assassination (1987), 10 to Midnight (1983), and Murphy’s Law (1986). He appeared in Assassination as Sandy Ott, Billy in Act of Vengence, Hog in Murphy’s Law, Lab Technician in 10 to Midnight, and ambulance man in Death Wish II. Paul is no longer involved in showbiz. Nowadays, he is a studio photographer and also has a daughter.

Death of his mother and brother Jason

Paul McCallum’s mother Jill Ireland and his adopted brother Jason passed away 6 months apart. His brother Jason McCallum passed away from an accidental drug overdose in 1989. Six months later, Paul McCallum’s mother Jill Ireland who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1984 passed away in 1990. She was cremated and her ashes were placed in a cane which Charles Bronson had buried with him at Brownsville Cemetery when he died in 2003.
