They dated for some time before getting married on 10 May 1959 in Weybridge, Surrey. Their marriage was blessed with a child. Julie and Tony’s daughter Emma Katherine Walton was born on 27 November 1962, in London, England. Emma who is also known as Emma Walton Hamilton became a children’s book author, theatrical director, and actress.
Emma is married to Stephen Hamilton and they have two children, a son and a daughter. Unfortunately, things did not work out between Julie and Tony Walton. Julie told Vanity Fair:
“[That period] was a struggle—it’s hard because, being a mother, you know that you love your husband and you understand where he’s coming from, but you have such a strong bond with your kids [that] you want them to either understand or not be unhappy.”
“It does pull one apart in many, many ways.” They got divorced in 1968, after nine years of marriage. “Sadly, I separated from my lovely first husband,” Julie told Stephen Colbert on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. “And separations were always inevitable and the marriage was over and my head was so full of clutter and garbage.”
“Believe it or not, it was Mike Nichols who really tipped me into wanting to go to therapy.” Julie said “He had been, and he was so sane, and funny and clear. He had a clarity that I admired so much. I wanted that for myself. And I didn’t feel I had it, so I went and got into it and it saved my life, in a way.”
Julie Andrews told Now To Love: “Tony and I had known each other since I was 12 or 13 and it was a great friendship, and it still is.” She added, “That has never wavered and so even though it was very painful, the worst of it was you feel such a failure because it’s certainly nothing that one anticipates going into a marriage.”

Blake was an American film director, producer, screenwriter, and actor. According to PEOPLE, they first met in 1959. When Blake first proposed Julie wasn’t ready to commit.
“This came as a total surprise. We had only been seeing each other for a little over a year, and neither of us was yet divorced from our former spouses,” Julie revealed. Julie said when Blake proposed to her she was “hesitant because he was very mercurial. I think it was about three years before we finally did tie the knot, but we bonded.”

Blake and Patricia had two children, actress Jennifer Edwards and actor and director Geoffrey Edwards. Julie Andrews and Blake Edwards got married on November 12, 1969. Julie and Blake adopted two Vietnamese daughters. Their adopted daughters are Amy Edwards and Joanna Edwards.
“When we hoped to adopt, the first and foremost thing we did, of course, was to get permission from the kids,” Julie said. “Emma especially was very, very generous about it: ‘if that’s what you want, Mum, go ahead.’ Then when the second one – Joanna – came along, I remember Emma said to me again, ‘Okay, if that’s what you really want, but don’t expect me to babysit.”
Julie and Blake were married until Blake passed away. Blake died on December 15, 2010, at age 88, in Santa Monica, California, U.S. He died of complications of pneumonia. Julie and Blake were married for 41 years. Julie said of her second marriage in an interview with Good Morning Britain:
