Geraldine’s mother was Genevieve Halford. she and her sister were raised Catholic by her parents; her mother was described by her sister as “more Catholic than the Pope.” She was a dancer. The two meet when they were both working in vaudeville, and they started to date. While the two were dating, her mother couldn’t wait to walk down the aisle but her father was not ready to settle down yet. This made Jackie say that she would be seeing other men if they did not get married soon.

One evening when the comedian went onstage at the Club Miami in Newark, New Jersey to perform, he caught a glimpse of Halford in the front row with a date. He then came up with what to do. At the end of his show, Gleason went to the table where Halford and her date were sitting and proposed to her right in front of her date.

They were married on September 20, 1936. Genevieve Halford and Gleason got married in a beautiful ceremony in the presence of their friends, family, and loved ones.

Their marriage was blessed with two children. Geraldine and her sister Linda. Her mother wanted a quiet home life but her father fell back into spending his nights out. This brought a lot of misunderstanding between the couple. However, they both love their children and the sister also love each other.

Her parents first separated for the first time in 1941 and reconciled in 1948. The couple informally separated again in 1954 and divorced in 1970. 10 days later the divorce, her father got married to Beverly McKittrick who he met at a country club in 1968. After 5 years, Jackie divorced Beverly McKittrick and got married to Marilyn Gleason. The two stayed married until his death.

Where is Jackie Gleason’s daughter Geraldine now?

Though she was the daughter of a famous Hollywood personality, Geraldine Gleason has been maintaining a very private life. She has not made the news or any headlines in a while. However, Geraldine married talent agent Jack Chutuk at New York’s St. Paul the Apostle Church in 1961.

Officiating at the ceremony was Gleason’s good friend, television celebrity, and Emmy winner, Bishop Fulton J. Sheen. Geraldine Gleason and her husband Jack have one son, Mark, and two granddaughters, Caitlin and Alison.
