Garrett was the second child in the Bridges family but died sadly due to Sudden Infant Death syndrome at barely 2 months. Early life. Garrett Myles Bridges was found dead under the covers of his bed by his mother. Mrs. Bridges summoned Dr. S. N. Kowitt, 471 S. FAIRFAX Ave., and a Fire Department rescue squad was called, but the baby failed to revive.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine whether the infant died from lack of oxygen under the blankets or from respiratory ailments. Garrett died of Sudden infant death syndrome on Aug 3 1948 in the United States of America.

How did Lloyd Bridges and his wife Dorothy Bridges meet? Bridges met his wife, Dorothy (née Simpson), in the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity while she was acting in a small theatrical play on campus. Lloyd Bridges, who was a UCLA upperclassman at the time, appeared in the production as her “leading man.” The couple married in 1938 in New York City. Dorothy and Lloyd Bridges remained married for 60 years until he died in 1998 at the age of 85.

Bridges and her husband moved to New York City, where they continued to pursue their acting studies and careers. Dorothy and Lloyd Bridges both studied under the acting teacher Michael Chekhov. They returned to Hollywood in the early 1940s when Lloyd Bridges was signed to Columbia Pictures.

 On March 10, 1998, Garrett Myles Bridges’ father, Llyod died of natural causes at the age of 85. His mother, Dorothy Bridges also died of “age-related causes” in Holmby Hills, Los Angeles on February 16, 2009, in the same home where she and her husband raised their children. She was 93 years old.

Garrett Myles Bridges’ brother, Lloyd Vernet “Beau” Bridges III is an American actor and director. He is a three-time Emmy, two-time Golden Globe and one-time Grammy Award winner, as well as a two-time Screen Actors Guild Award nominee.

His other brother, Jeffrey Leon Bridges is also an American actor. Known for his versatility, he has received various accolades throughout his career spanning over seven decades, including an Academy Award and two Golden Globe Awards. His sister, Cindy Bridges is also an actress known for Meeting Daddy (2000), The Lloyd Bridges Show (1962) and The Loner (1965).
