Donald is an heir to a Bavarian barony. The two love birds got married in 1971 secretly in her Hollywood Hills home. He was 27 years old at the time of their marriage.
When they got married Elliot told The New York Times that she wanted nothing more now than to be a mama “We are planning to have children immediately,” she went on- “I am sort of planning to retire because he can support me, which is unusual in Hollywood marriages.“
Though they planned to spend the rest of their lives together, things didn’t go as planned, their marriage ended in divorce after a few months. They divorced in that same year.
Donald’s ex-wife Cass has been married twice, the first time in 1963 to James Hendricks, her groupmate in the Big 3 and the Mugwumps. It was reportedly a platonic arrangement to assist him in avoiding being drafted during the Vietnam War; the marriage reportedly was never consummated and was annulled in 1968. Donald von Wiedenman’s ex-wife, Elliot, age 32, died in her sleep at the London flat where she was staying in 1974. According to forensic pathologist Keith Simpson, who conducted her autopsy, her death was due to heart failure. “There was left-sided heart failure,” he wrote, “she had a heart attack which developed rapidly.”
A drug screen that was part of the forensic autopsy revealed there were no drugs in her system. Elliot died in Flat 12, 9 Curzon Place (later Curzon Square), Shepherd Market, Mayfair, London. She was survived by a daughter, Owen Vanessa Elliot, from her first marriage to songwriter James Hendricks.
Donald von Wiedenman on the other hand went totally out of the limelight after their marriage came to an end. It’s unclear where exactly and what he is up to. Wiedenman has not granted any interviews or made any headlines in recent years. It is unclear if he ever married again.
