David Henry Lennon’s parents are Alfred Lennon and Pauline Jones. His father Alfred did several jobs including working as an office boy, bellboy, steward, merchant seaman, kitchen porter, dishwasher, and singer. Alfred and Pauline met and fell in love with each other.
David Henry Lennon’s mother Pauline was an Exeter University student and a Rolling Stones fan when she met David’s father Alfred, who was 53 years old, in 1966. Pauline’s mother didn’t approve of their relationship and later Alfred and Pauline got tired of trying to convince Pauline’s mother to allow them to marry.
They then decided to elope so that they can get married. The two eloped and got married in Gretna Green, Scotland. Pauline was employed to work for Alfred’s son John Lennon and his first wife Cynthia Powell, as a nanny and doing secretarial work. Pauline took care of their child Julian Lennon.
Pauline spent a few months living at Kenwood in the attic bedroom. Pauline and Alfred lived in a flat in Bourne Court, London Road, Patcham, Brighton, and later moved to Ladies Mile Road, Brighton, in November 1969.

They had two children, David Henry Lennon and Robin Francis Lennon. Previously, Alfred Lennon was married to Julia Stanley. They are the parents of John Lennon. Alfred was mostly absent from home, at sea during World War II. He did not see much of his son John Lennon during his childhood.
Julia Stanley also got pregnant by another man while Alfred was away. Alfred got to know and proposed to look after Julia, their child, John, and the expected baby, but Julia refused. Alfred Lennon was diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer. He died on 1 April 1976, in Brighton, England, at the age of 63. Alfred’s wife Pauline published a book titled Daddy, Come Home.

John Lennon was shot twice in the back and twice in the shoulder. He was pronounced dead at a Hospital. His remains were cremated at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, New York.
