Sidney Poitier was a founding member of the Committee for the Negro in the Arts (CNA). He has played numerous roles in several films. He was one of the last major stars from the Golden Age of Hollywood cinema. He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Barack Obama.

Pamela Poitier is the daughter of Sidney Poitier. Her mother is called Juanita Hardy. She was born on April 12, 1954, in New York City. She is an actress and per her IMDb, she has worked in 1980s Stir Crazy with Richard Pryor, 1990s Ghost Dad and Air America, and 1997’s The Jackal with Bruce Willis. She acted as an understudy on Broadway.
