Claudinette Jean And Wyclef Jean Dating History
Claudinette Jean and her then-future husband Wyclef Jean began dating soon after meeting. At the time they met, Wyclef had lied about his age to get her attention. Claudinette said: “When I first met him, he told me he was 25.” She is a few years his senior. Claudinette had already established herself as a model in New York when she met Wyclef. Wyclef said:
“I was putting up a façade because I didn’t want her to know I was still in high school and Claudinette was in college. I was still young. I ain’t have a job. My father was a minister and they wanted me to go in church and be a preacher. I was singing at church but all I could think about was Claudinette.”
“That was that real puppy love, you know what I’m saying?” Wyclef wrote of Claudinette in his memoir Purpose: An Immigrant’s Story, “She was fly, she was established, she was modeling in New York, and just so she wouldn’t pass me by, I tricked her and lied about my age. “Lauryn and I were pursuing a dream together, and that goal, as well as our mutual love of music, was the language that brought us together,” Wyclef disclosed. “And there was an attraction there; I’m not going to lie and act as if it was just because we spent time together that we ended up together.”
“Lauryn’s beautiful, and because of her looks and her talent and everything we shared with each other — from songs to books to lyrics — love was bound to grow.” According to Wyclef, he was in love with both Claudinette and Lauryn. “I was with both of these incredible women at the same time, which isn’t something to be proud of but it was definitely unavoidable,” he revealed.

Claudinette Jean Is A Wife And Mother
Claudinette Jean is married to her husband Wyclef Jean. They married in 1994 and renewed their vows in August 2009. The couple adopted a daughter, Angelina Claudinelle Jean, in March 2005. Angelina was born in Haiti. Things almost fell apart between the couple after Claudinette found sensual photos of Lisa Ellis (her husband’s manager) on her husband’s phone.

Claudinette and her husband Wyclef were able to resolve the issue. On August 6, 2020, Claudinette shared a picture of herself and her husband as she celebrated their anniversary. She wrote the caption: “Happy anniversary to the love of my life! Love you from the bottom of my heart. I am blessed to have you as my hubby.”
Claudinette and her husband Wyclef were in Haiti after the earthquake on January 12, 2010, picking up the deceased and bringing them to morgues and cemeteries. The couple returned to New Jersey and Claudinette turned her Fushá Home Accents Company into a drop off point for the service organization Yele Haiti. She became an active volunteer and has always been a spokeswoman for Haiti’s children and women rights.
