Astile Doherty is the son of Pete Doherty. Astile’s father Peter Doherty is a popular English musician, songwriter, actor, poet, writer, and artist. He is commonly known as the co-frontman of the Libertines. Astile’s mother is English singer and songwriter Lisa Moorish. She had a solo career beginning in 1989 and was the lead singer of the indie band Kill City in the early 2000s.

He is a product of an affair between his father, Pete Doherty, a musician, songwriter, actor, poet, writer, and artist, and his mother Lisa Moorish, a singer-songwriter. His parents never got married. They are no longer together.

Astile Doherty does not have any biological siblings. He has a half-sister called Molly Gallagher (26 March 1998), born from his mother’s relationship with English singer and songwriter Liam Gallagher. As of 2023, Molly is in a relationship with Liverpool footballer Nat Phillips. Astile has another half-sister, Aisling Erin (December 2011).

Aisling is Astile’s father Pete Doherty and South African model Lindi Hingston’s daughter. Astile is the stepson of Katia de Vidas, who has been married to Astile’s father Pete Doherty since 30 September 2021. Astile Doherty’s maternal grandfather Henry Watt is a black Jamaican “mixed with Irish, Scottish, Asian”, while his maternal grandmother Iris is English and from Middlesbrough. He works at Leigh Drinks Co. Per Daily Mail, Astile is working as a mixologist at a cocktail bar in Leigh-on-Sea, Southend. He said: ‘I can quite comfortably say I have one of the best jobs in the world.’

Astile Doherty has never been married before, not yet. He has not provided any information about his love life so it is assumed that he is single. He has not been involved in any controversies or rumors so far.

Astile’s Father Has Had Multiple Trips To Rehabilitation Facilities

Astile Doherty’s famous father Pete Doherty visited different rehabilitation facilities due to his addictions. He has been arrested on several occasions for drug offenses and offenses arising from drug use, such as drunk driving, car theft, and driving with a suspended license. He has pleaded guilty to possession of crack cocaine, heroin, cannabis, and ketamine.

Pete Doherty did drugs and at some points in his life, he went to the extent of working as a drug dealer to pay for his drug habit, as he admitted to author Peter Welsh in his biography. He made it known that he used to be a rent boy and that during that time he robbed one of his male clients. He went to rehab multiple times. In October 2014, he was admitted to the Hope Rehab Centre in Thailand.

Pete Doherty revealed his plans to start a foundation with the center to help struggling addicts. He was said to have successfully completed his rehab treatment but later it was revealed that he had been found with heroin in his car while traveling through Italy. He was also found to be driving with an invalid license and was fined. In a 2019 interview, he was asked if he would like to be drug-free and he said:

“Yes, a part of me would. Just so I can feel things. There are so many people in my life who deserve better. It really is a mental deficiency… I’d be a force to be reckoned with! I’d have money and self-respect and clean hands.” In a 2022 interview with NME, he stated that he had “been clean since December 2019.” He “nearly lost my feet” while he was battling drug addiction.

Pete Doherty recalled his addiction: “I was really pushing the limits. There were a few close calls really. I nearly lost my feet and horrible things like that. It was very close, just because of the injecting. That’s what happens when you run out of veins. It all seems so long ago now though but it was a hell of a ride.” However, he is releasing a documentary about his struggles with addiction.
