Safaa Malik was born on September 13, 2002, in Bradford, England. She is 21 years old as of 2023. She was born to an immigrant Pakistani Muslim father, Yaser Malik, and a White British mother of English and Irish descent, Trisha Malik (née Brannan). Her mother converted to Islam after she married her father. Safaa is the youngest of four.

Safaa Malik has two older sisters and an older brother. Her sisters are Doniya Malik and Waliyha Malik. Her brother was born Zain Javadd Malik but he is professionally known as Zayn Malik or simply Zayn. Safaa and her older siblings were brought up in a working-class family and neighborhood. The Malik siblings had an Islamic upbringing.

Safaa’s brother Zayn once said of the neighborhood they grew up in: “The whole vibe of Bradford is influential.” Zayn added: “It’s not the most funded place, in terms of the government, but there’s a lot of character there. Tricia cooked meals for Muslim children. Safaa Malik attended Tong Leadership Academy, formerly Tong High School, just like her older siblings. Safaa is camera-shy and rarely attends her famous brother Zayn’s concerts, sources say. However, she appeared as herself in One Direction’s 3D concert movie, titled This Is Us. Safaa has gained fame because of her brother Zayn.

Safaa Malik Married At Age 17

Zayn’s youngest sister, Safaa Malik became a wife when she was a teenager. In September 2019, Safaa then 17 years old, got married to her boyfriend Martin Riser in a traditional Nikkah ceremony. Photos of the ceremony were shared by her mother Trisha Malik on social media. Safaa and her husband have welcomed their first child.

Their daughter is Zaneyah Malik Tiser. Safaa announced she is expecting her second child with her husband Martin Tiser. However, it was later revealed that it was just a prank. Safaa shared: ‘I AM NOT PREGNANT. Happy April Fools everyone.’ Safaa’s brother Zayn has a daughter with model and television personality Gigi Hadid.

Zayn and Gigi are co-parenting their daughter Khai Hadid Malik. “I have her 50 percent of the time, so that time I have with her is so important because I feel like she’s growing up so fast. So, when I’m with her I don’t work at all,” Zayn said. Zayn added, “Co-parenting is good. We have a really good relationship for Khai. She’s the main importance. It’s going well.”

Most recently, in September 2023, Zayn celebrated his daughter on her birthday. He penned a lovely message to her on Instagram. He wrote: “Happy birthday to my everything, you are the most amazing soul I’ve ever known. Every day I get with you is a blessing that I cherish beyond words. 3 already!!
