William exchanged vows with his longtime love 30 years before the actor stole hearts on the hit ’90s sitcom, though. The St. Elsewhere star and his blonde beauty said “I do” in 1951.

10 years after they tied the knot, Michael’s parents, William and Bonnie welcomed their first son, William Daniels Jr., but things didn’t go as planned as the newborn sadly passed away 24 hours after he was welcomed into the family, according to reports.

The couple didn’t give up, they later went ahead to expand their family structure by adopting their son Michael Daniels in 1964, followed by Robert Daniels in 1966. Despite some challenging times here and there with the children- Like when Robert got missing– the couple did their best to raise their children to be useful members of society.

Considering the fact that, Michael’s parents have been together for more than 70 years now and are still loved up more than ever, the lovers have learned a lot about what it takes to stay united and keep growing. His father Williams said having “mutual respect” for one another has been one of the key elements that kept their romance on the right track.

“I think our relationship is based on mutual respect and I think she is smarter than me, a better actor than me, and so I just hang out, you know, and try to get along,” William sweetly joked with Forbes in January 2021, as Bonnie chimed in, “He doesn’t mean that at all!”

While the man credits his wife for having the beauty and brains, The woman also said her husband is the one with all the jokes and described her husband as an impressive parent.

While his parents are both Emmy Awards winners on the same night in 1986—becoming the first married couple to accomplish the feat since Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne in 1965, Michael also took a different path, different from that of his parents but in the same industry. Michael became an assistant director and stage manager in Los Angeles.

William Daniels never misses a chance to share memories he is making with his boys- Michael Daniels and his brother Robert Daniels took to his Instagram to share an image of him and the boys having fun and playing golf together. In the caption- he wrote-“They got it from their papa. Or so I try to tell them.“ Michael Daniels is not in the limelight like his parents. He has been very private about his life.

In December 2020, the actor uploaded a cute pic with Bonnie, their son, and his granddaughter. “The one good thing about 2020 is that I’ve learned what a ‘group selfie’ is thanks to my family pod,” he hilariously penned. The happy grandpa also shared a lovely throwback pic with his grandkiddos in March 2020.

“Oh, how time flies! These two are much taller than I am now and heading off to college,” he wrote. “I will be missing them terribly. And both of you — do your homework.”
