Louise Dorsey is the daughter of Engelbert Humperdinck. Louise Dorsey’s father is a British pop singer who has been described as “one of the finest middle-of-the-road balladeers around”. He achieved international prominence in 1967 with his recording of “Release Me”. Starting as a performer in the late 1950s under the name “Gerry Dorsey”, he later adopted the name of German composer Engelbert Humperdinck as a stage name. Who is  Engelbert Humperdinck’s daughter?

Louise Dorsey is the daughter of  Engelbert Humperdinck and his late wife Patricia Healey. The “Spanish Eyes” singer and the White Bus actress first crossed paths in 1953 but waited over a decade to tie the knot. The two first met at the Palais de Danse, a nightclub in Leicester. After marrying Patricia in 1964, the two welcomed their kids.

Louise Dorsey is the only daughter of the iconic music star. She has three siblings. They are Scott Dorsey, Bradley Dorsey, and Jason Dorsey. Following in the footsteps of her father, Louise is a singer, former voice actress, artist, and PR consultant.

Engelbert Humperdinck’s daughter pursued an acting career during the 1980s, but she didn’t get very far. She is best known for providing the voice of Jetta on the popular 1980s cartoon series, Jem (1985).  Jem aired from 1985 to 1988. According to IMDb, aside from appearing in 1984’s The Ratings Game, 1987’s Jem, she also appeared in 1987’s Murder, She Wrote.

Although Louise couldn’t build a career in Hollywood, she did become quite successful leaving her name in the industry. According to Louise Dorsey’s Facebook, she currently lives in Nashville and works as a communication liaison at her famous father’s company. She’s also an executive district manager and independent consultant at Arbonne, a skincare and cosmetics line.

Her mother death

Louise Dorsey’s mother passed away in Los Angeles on 5 February 2021. Per Closer, Louise’s mother died following a battle with Alzheimer’s disease at age 85. Her mother’s heartbreaking death came just two days after the  “After the Lovin” singer asked for prayers from fans following Patricia’s positive test result for COVID-19. “Her Alzheimer’s and the blow from Covid have left her in need of all the love she ever gave out to come back to her a million-fold,” Engelbert wrote on Facebook.

The singer revealed in a statement that, she was surrounded by their kids, Louise, Jason and Brad, while Scott was “on FaceTime.” Alongside a sweet photo of the couple from back in the day, Engelbert said they were “heartbroken” over the death of his “darling wife.” Humperdinck also described how the family had prayed with Patrica and blessed her with water from Lourdes before she “slipped softly away”.

Where is Engelbert Humperdinck now?

As said earlier, Louise Dorsey is currently living in Nashville and works as a communication liaison at her famous father’s company. She’s also an executive district manager and independent consultant at Arbonne, a skincare and cosmetics line. Engelbert Humperdinck and his daughter seem to be very close. They have been spotted at various events together making memories.

Louise Dorsey, her parents, and siblings attended the Associates for Breast and Prostate Cancer Studies 13th Annual Gala at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on October 11, 2002, in Beverly Hills, California. She also stood by her father’s side during his Las Vegas Walk of Stars dedication ceremony on July 20, 2011, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The star was placed outside the resort on July 21.
