Lisa Petty Luck was born to Richard Petty and his companion Lynda Petty but her date of birth and age are not known. She grew up alongside her three siblings, Kyle Petty, Sharon Farlow, and Rebecca Petty Moffit. Her father hails from Level Cross, North Carolina

Lisa Petty Luck’s mother hails from Guilford County, North Carolina, USA. On July 22, 1958, her parents got married after they reportedly eloped in South Carolina. They waited until Richard could afford an engagement ring. Richard told FOX Sports:

“I brought her home, dumped her out in the middle of town, she went into her house and I went home. It took me three or four months to get a diamond for her, and by the time we got the money, I bought a diamond and told everybody we were married.”

Lisa Petty and her siblings were disciplined by their mother. In an interview, her mother Lynda said: “I was the one, and you can ask them … you’d ask Kyle, ‘Did your daddy ever whip you?’ and he’d say, ‘No, but my mother wailed the daylights out of me.”

“I disciplined and I never even bothered Richard with it. I didn’t want to put the fear of God in him that he was going to beat his children to death for doing something, so I took care of them and they loved him to death and still do.”

Unfortunately, Lynda Petty was diagnosed with central nervous system lymphoma. She battled cancer for a long time before she died on 25 Mar 2014, at the age of 72, in Level Cross, Randolph County, North Carolina, USA. She was loved by her family and friends.

Lee Petty and Elizabeth Petty are Lisa Petty Luck’s paternal grandparents. Lee Petty was a popular stock car racing driver, who competed during the 1950s and 1960s and was one of the pioneers of NASCAR and one of its first superstars. Lisa has an uncle called Maurice Petty.

Maurice Petty was a NASCAR crew chief and engine builder for Petty Enterprises, the first engine builder to be inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Lisa Petty has maintained a low profile. Much is not known about her education and career path.
