Leanne’s Father Once Lost Custody Of Her
Leanne Williams’ adoptive father Katt Williams was separated from his daughter after he once lost custody of her. At the time Leanne was eight years old, her father, Katt Williams lost custody of her after a woman named Crystal McGhee who had worked briefly as a nanny for Katt claimed she was the biological mother of Leanne.
Crystal McGhee chose to file for sole custody of Leanne. Crystal won custody of Leanne after Leanne’s father Katt Williams had failed to appear in court to contest the claim. A judge awarded sole legal and physical custody to Crystal while Katt was given visitation rights.
Katt Williams later filed legal documents in Los Angeles County Superior Court, accusing Crystal McGhee of having no real relation to the girl and “no parental rights”. The judge subsequently returned custody rights to Katt Williams. Katt was granted custody of his daughter, Leanne Williams.
Court papers filed by Katt suggest Crystal lied to gain custody to take advantage of government benefits. Leanne was reunited with her father Katt.
Leanne’s Father Was Arrested For Endangering His Children
On December 28, 2012, Leanne Williams’ father Katt Williams was arrested in Los Angeles on child endangerment charges. He was arrested for allegedly endangering the lives of his four kids. He was in custody, being held on $100,000 bail and his four children were placed in protective custody, by the authorities.

Katt Williams was arrested after an investigation conducted by the L.A. County Dept. of Children and Family Services concluded that his home was an unsafe environment for his children as he was allegedly exposing them to guns and illegal drugs. During his arrest, various items were seized. He did not face any criminal charges, per TMZ.
After he was released Katt said: “How do you keep kids safe without guns? If the police come in and raid my place and break into my gun boxes, you’re gonna find guns!” Katt added that “I’m not in a gang, what difference does it make?”
