According to ABC News, he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2009; today Tiger Woods’ brother is confined to a wheelchair. The 2012 publication revealed Kevin needed a caretaker and was also in danger of losing his home. His other brother Earl Woods Jr. spoke to ESPN’s Rick Reilly saying that calls to their famous sibling [Tiger Woods] have gone unreturned.
“I leave messages. I leave updates on Kevin, but for whatever reason I don’t get a response. … Kevin loves Tiger. A call from Tiger would really pump Kevin up. When he doesn’t call, it just makes him feel worse,” He told ESPN. Earl Woods Jr. also told the publication they all used to be close until about 15 or 16,” when things took a turn and since their father passed away in 2006, the half-siblings have been unable to contact the famous golfer at all.
No one seems to know the reason behind the crack in the siblings’ relationship. Earl Jr continued to tell the publication – “Nobody’s asking for money here, but [a caregiver] really would be nice for Kevin. It would make Kevin comfortable. He wouldn’t have to leave his house. … But we’d at least like to be able to find out how Tiger is, to find out if he’s OK, and to let him know if we’re OK.” Kevin’s mother also added her voice saying- “I’m very disappointed in Tiger. Before he got all famous, they were in touch a lot.“
Kevin Dale Woods’s father, Earl Wood married his mother, Barbara Gary on May 18, 1954, in Abilene, Kansas. The couple went on to have the three siblings- Earl Dennison Jr. (1955), Kevin Dale (1957), and Royce Renee (1961). Kevin’s parents divorced in 1968 in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico.

They tied the knot in 1969 in Brooklyn, New York, and had their son Eldrick in 1975. Eldrick’s nickname, Tiger, comes from Woods’ wartime friendship with Lieutenant Colonel Vuong Dang “Tiger” Phong, an officer who served in the Army of the Republic of Vietnam.
