Keri Lewis was the husband of R&B singer, songwriter, actress, and television personality Toni Michele Braxton. He and Toni became husband and wife officially in Atlanta on April 21, 2001. The two met when his group, Mint Condition opened for Keri on tour. During their marriage, they had 2 children. Their first child, a son named Denim Cole Braxton-Lewis was born on December 2, 2001.
Their second child, Diezel Ky Braxton-Lewis was born in March 2003. Diezel has autism. His condition made his mother Toni Braxton become involved with Autism Speaks, serving as their International Spokesperson. Keri Lewis and Toni got separated. In November 2009, Toni announced that she and Keri had separated. They divorced in July 2013. Toni’s rep told Us Weekly:
“The couple has had an amicable split and will still both be actively involved in raising their two sons, 11-year-old Denim and 10-year-old Diezel.” Toni Braxton said in an interview: “I hated being divorced. I hated having to surrender to the loss. We were attempting to salvage the relationship again. We were hopeful. We dated for like a good year and a half.”

She added: “I felt shallow because we broke up over money issues. I also found out I had Lupus at the time. I couldn’t make money because I had lupus, which contributed to the marriage failing. Who wants to take care of a person who’s sick all the time. He never said that, but I felt it. Money was the decoration on the tree. I felt because I was sick he left. It made me insecure.”
Keri Lewis was accused by his ex-wife Toni Braxton of not paying child support for their two sons however, they managed to settle their child support battle.
