The Actress Lonsdale was married to Politician and publisher Derek Coombs. Derek Coombs was a British Conservative politician and a Member of Parliament for Birmingham Yardley from 1970 up to when he was defeated in 1974 by Labour’s Sydney Tierney. He is a successful businessman as well. He also became chairman of Prospect magazine.
Jennifer and Derek Coombs were married until Derek died on 30 December 2014, at the age of 83 years. They have two sons Jack Coombs and Adam Coombs. Adam, the youngest son, was 19-year-old and was due to begin a philosophy degree course at Manchester University.
Adam Coombs having just left Bryanston School died of an accidental drug overdose in 2010. He died in the hill town of Manali, in India’s Valley of the Gods.
