Who Is Donte Phillip Spector?

Donté Phillip Spector is the adopted son of Harvey Philip Spector (Phil Spector) and his ex-wife Veronica Yvette Bennett (Ronnie Spector). Donte was welcomed into the world on March 23, 1969, in the United States. He is 54 years old as of 2023. The names and details of his biological parents are not in the spotlight.

Donté Phillip Spector is the brother of twins Louis Phillip Spector and Gary Phillip Spector, who were also adopted by his parents Phil and Ronnie Spector. He has two half-siblings, twins Nicole Audrey Spector and Phillip Spector Jr. from his father’s relationship with Janis Zavala. He also has two half-siblings from his mother’s side.

Donté’s half-siblings, Jason Charles Greenfield, and Austin Drew Greenfield were born from his mother’s marriage to Jonathan Greenfield. In a 2003 interview with the Mail, Donte Phillip Spector went ahead to describe his relationship with his father as a “thin line between love and hate.” However, details of Donte’s education are unknown. Information regarding his career is not available. Donte has reportedly been married twice.

Donte married Merar in the year 1966 and Bennett in the year 1968. Currently, it’s uncertain if he’s still married or in a romantic relationship. Nothing is known about his children. He has lived a low-key life and hasn’t shared much information about himself with the public.

Donte Phillip Spector’s parents, Phil Spector and Ronnie Spector are both not alive. Phil was found guilty of murdering actress and fashion model Lana Clarkson. He was sentenced to 19 years to life in prison, where he died. He died from the complications of COVID-19 in a prison medical facility, on January 16, 2021, at age 81.

In a 2005 court deposition, Phil testified that he had been on medication for manic depression for eight years. “No sleep, depression, mood changes, mood swings, hard to live with, hard to concentrate, just hard — a hard time getting through life,” he said. “I’ve been called a genius and I think a genius is not there all the time and has borderline insanity.”

After Phil Spector died, his ex-wife Ronnie Spector shared: “It’s a sad day for music and a sad day for me. When I was working with Phil Spector, watching him create in the recording studio, I knew I was working with the very best. He was in complete control, directing everyone. So much to love about those days.”

“Meeting him and falling in love was like a fairytale. The magical music we were able to make together, was inspired by our love. I loved him madly, and gave my heart and soul to him. As I said many times while he was alive, he was a brilliant producer, but a lousy husband. Unfortunately Phil was not able to live and function outside of the recording studio.”

Phil Spector 1939-2021.” Ronnie Spector, who is sometimes referred to as the original “bad girl of rock and roll”, died on January 12, 2022, in Danbury, Connecticut, U.S., shortly after a cancer diagnosis. She was at the age of 78 years at the time she passed away.
