Diana Ross was born Diana Ernestine Earle Ross on March 26, 1944. She is at the age of 78 years as of 2022. She hails from Detroit, Michigan. Her parents are called Ernestine Lillian and Fred Ross Sr. She is the second child of six children.

Diana Ross’s name is at times spelled as Diane, the actual name her mother gave her. She is mostly called Diane by her family and Detroit friends. Her siblings are Barbara, Rita, Arthur, Fred Jr., and Wilbert, aka Chico.

Diana Ross enrolled in the Cass Technical High School, a four-year college and preparatory magnet school, in downtown Detroit, where she learned clothing design, millinery, pattern making, and tailoring. She wanted to become a fashion designer. She graduated from Cass Tech in January 1962. She also took modeling and cosmetology classes in the evenings and on weekends.
