David Leland Elliott was born on January 18, 1969, in East Orange, New Jersey, United States. As of 2022, he is 53 years old. He is the first son of Dionne Warwick and William Elliott. His parents had an on-and-off relationship. Dionne Warwick and William Elliott were married in 1966 and divorced in May 1967. They eventually reconciled and remarried in August 1967, in Milan, Italy. They separated on May 30, 1975, and divorced in December 1975 in Los Angeles.
William Elliott was denied by the court when he requested $2,000 a month in support pending a community property trial, and $5,000, when he insisted he was making $500 a month in comparison to Dionne Warwick making $100,000 a month.

David Leland Elliott is an actor, singer, and songwriter. He is a former Los Angeles police officer. He was a police officer for the Whittier Police Department, in Whittier, CA. In 1993, he and Terry Steele co-wrote the duet “Love Will Find a Way” that was featured on the album Friends Can Be Lovers.
David Leland Elliott periodically toured with and performed duets with his mother Dionne Warwick. He has also been the drummer of her touring band. He became a singer-songwriter, with Luther Vandross‘ “Here and Now” and has other credits too.
As an actor, David Leland Elliott has appeared in several films. He made his acting debut in the film Ali as singer Sam Cooke. He is known for First Daughter (2004) and Dionne Warwick: Don’t Make Me Over (2021).

David Leland Elliott’s mother Dionne Warwick was declared Chapter 7 bankruptcy in New Jersey on March 21, 2013. She reportedly mismanaged her business affairs and was listed as having liabilities including close to $7 million owed to the Internal Revenue Service.
Dionne Warwick also owed over $3 million in business taxes to the state of California. She was not able to work out an agreement with tax officials and she and her attorney decided that declaring bankruptcy would be the best course of action.
