David LaCock’s father Peter Marshell has been married three times. His first marriage was to Nadene R. Teaford. Peter and Nadene were married for more than two decades before ending it all. It was the marriage that produce all of Peter’s four children. Marshall’s second marriage was with Marya “Sally” Carter in 1977.

Peter Marshall’s son David LaCock passed away in August 2021. Peter took to his Twitter to announce the death of David, who had died at the age of 68 due to complications from COVID-19. In his sad announcement, he shared a photo of him with the caption- “In loving memory of my free-spirited son David, whom we just lost to COVID. He was joyful, beautiful, magnificent, giving, doting & talented, He made this a better world. He made our family’s lives sweeter.”

Talking about David’s death in an interview with Closerweekly, The West Virginia Music Hall of Fame inductee said “It’s really very sad. He was just a wonderful boy who had eight children, six grandchildren, and a wonderful wife. He was an artist. It just breaks my heart. To lose a child is just awful.“

Showbiz411 revealed David LaCock has not been vaccinated. David’s brother, Pete LaCock wrote to the out and he said- “Despite the rest of the family pleading with him, he was not vaccinated. I’m sure he would still be here if he had.” He went on to tell Showbiz411 “We’re hoping the needless death of my brother might urge others to get the vaccine. He was incredibly healthy, still surfing every day at the age of 68.“
