Dakota Rain Burton has lost her beloved mother Dolores O’Riordan. Unfortunately for Dakota, she has to spend the rest of her life without her mother Dolores. Her mother died on 15 January 2018, in London, England. Sadly, Dolores was found unresponsive in the bathroom of her London hotel room and was later pronounced dead. She was 46 years old at the time she passed away.

Dolores O’Riordan died from drowning due to alcohol intoxication. Before her death, Dolores’ children Dakota, Molly Leigh, and Taylor Baxter were reportedly living with their father Don Burton. Dakota, Molly, and Taylor have been living with their father since the year 2014, when their parents Dolores and Don got separated, according to the Mirror.
Dolores’ mother Eileen O’Riordan had mentioned that the children were with their father because their mother Dolores was struggling with mental health issues. “They just know that mommy isn’t well at the moment,” Eileen told the Irish Mirror. Dolores loved and cared for all her children. She once said “the best time in my life was the years spent at home with my family. I love being a mum.”

She was buried alongside her father. She is buried at Caherelly Cemetery, in Herbertstown, County Limerick, Ireland. Dolores was one of the most successful and famous singer-songwriters.
Dolores had several fans around the world. She was known for her lilting mezzo-soprano voice, signature yodel, emphasized use of keening, and strong Limerick accent. She had a unique voice. She worked with the Irish rock band The Cranberries. She started singing at a young age. “I’ve been singing since I was five years old,” she recalled.
“By the time I was 12, I was writing my own songs so, yeah, music has always been part of me. To be honest, I’ve never imagined doing anything else. I think at one time though, my mum, who’s deeply religious, might have had a notion of me becoming a nun!” She joined the Cranberries and said, “looking back, it was a crazy time.”

“Suddenly the band was massive, everybody wanted The Cranberries. I couldn’t’ believe it. Going on stage, in front of thousands of people, was nerve wrecking. Even now I still get the butterflies before a performance. But once I’m out there, I just love it. There’s something about that vibe that makes me forget everything. It’s the best feeling ever.”
Dolores O’Riordan has also enjoyed success in her solo career. She has been described as “one of the most recognizable voices in pop culture”.
