Cristopher Bacharach was adopted in December 1985 by Burt Bacharach and Carole Bayer Sager when he was an infant. He was named Cristopher Elton Bacharach. His adoptive parents cohabitated for years and collaborated on multiple musical pieces before getting married on April 3, 1982.
Burt Bacharach and Carole Bayer Sager collaborated and co-written several hit songs. They worked together to produce hits including That’s What Friends Are For, Arthur’s Theme (Best That You Can Do) (Christopher Cross), co-written with Cross and Peter Allen.
Burt Bacharach and Carole Bayer Sager also collaborated on Heartlight (Neil Diamond), Making Love (Roberta Flack), and On My Own (Patti LaBelle with Michael McDonald.) Carole once said, when asked about coming together to collaborate with Burt:

However, after nine years of marriage Cristopher’s parents, Burt Bacharach and Carole Bayer Sager got divorced. They divorced in 1991. After the divorce, Burt married his fourth wife, Jane Hanson, in 1993 and they have two children, Raleigh Bacharach and Oliver Bacharach.
Burt Bacharach’s daughter Lea Nikki Bacharach was born from his marriage to actress Angie Dickinson. Nikki struggled with Asperger’s Disorder and died by suicide on January 4, 2007, in her apartment, in Thousand Oaks, Ventura County, California, USA, at age 40.
Carole Bayer Sager has been married to Robert Anthony Daly since June 1996 and they live in Los Angeles, California. Robert is a successful business executive who has led organizations such as CBS Entertainment, Warner Bros., Warner Music Group, and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Carole Bayer Sager dedicated her 2016 memoir, They’re Playing Our Song, to her son Cristopher and husband, Robert Daly. Cristopher’s maternal grandparents are Anita Nathan Bayer and Eli Bayer. His paternal grandparents are Bertram M. Bacharach and Irma M. Freeman.
Bertram was a well-known syndicated newspaper columnist and Irma was an amateur painter and songwriter. Cristopher Bacharach got a job in the publishing department at Universal Music, per sources.
