Bumper Harvest As Hawa Koomson Opens The Sea For Fishing After A Month Break

A moth ago, the minister for fishery closed the sea for sometime from all fishing activities.

Fishing activities have once again resumed across the country as the annual sea closing month ends.

The sea was closed for fishing for a month, a practice which has been going on for about 5 years every July.

As fishing on the sea resumed across the country on Sunday, August 1, the fishermen in Keta had a bumper harvest as the closing of the sea has proven to be successful.

As the large volume of fish their fishing net caught was overwhelming.

This proves that the first closed season under Hon. Mavis Hawa Koomson has been a success despite the trolls.
