Anne Whitfield was born in Oxford, Mississippi, U.S to Richard N. Whitfield, Jr., and Frances Turner Whitfield. Her father was the director of bands at the University of Mississippi while her mother was a speech tutor.
Anne attended Rosewood Avenue Public School and she studied at the University of California, Los Angeles, scheduling her classes around her work on radio programs. She holds a degree in Mass Communications.
As a talented actress, Anne Whitfield has been featured in several stage films, numerous commercials, and television series. She has earned a lot of fame and is known in the U.S. as well as in other countries. She started her career at a minor age as she was a member of the cast of One Man’s Family at the age of 7 years.
She played Claudia Barbour in the TV version of One Man’s Family. She started her career professionally in 1950 at the age of 12 years old. She has appeared in several films and played child roles in some comedy and dramatic series originating in Hollywood.

Anne Whitfield was married to Frederick Roy Schiller. They got married on 21 June 1958 and were married until 1969. They got divorced. She then went on to marry John F. Phillips. The two got married on 18 December 1976 and were blessed with a child but unfortunately, they separated on 22 May 2008.
