Born in 1999 in the United States of America, Zendaya’s sister Annabella Stoermer Coleman is 25 years old as of 2024 per Famous Birthdays. She was born in Oakland California just like her big sister, Zendaya. Annabella is the daughter of Kazembe Ajamu Coleman and Claire Stoermer.

Zendaya is not the only sibling Annabella has. Their family is pretty big, she has 4 other siblings. Her siblings are  Katianna Stoermer Coleman, Kaylee Stoermer Coleman, Austin Stoermer Coleman, and Julien Stoermer Coleman. The Euphoria actress told Time in a 2015 interview “Having such a big, grounded family, I realized as you get older how important that is.”

Annabella’s parents are teachers. Her mother, Claire Stoermer is of German and Scottish descent, while her father Kazembe Ajamu Coleman is of Nigerian ancestry. Annabella Stoermer Coleman’s mother taught at a number of inner-city schools in the area, including a Shakespeare Academy in Oakland; this is where Annabella’s famous sister’s first fascination with the arts emerged.

Being by her mother’s side as she taught her students kindled something fierce within her sister, and she decided that this was something that she wanted to pursue as a career and as a lifelong passion. 

Thanks to her mom, Annabella Stoermer Coleman, and her siblings have learned about the true significance of education and how vital it was to appreciate nature and one’s surroundings. Her mother, Claire was so dedicated to teaching that she wouldn’t even move out of Oakland when her daughter Zendaya got cast in Shake It Out, which was filmed in Los Angeles.

Her parents taught her to feel grateful for her uniqueness. She and her family even took part in a PSA about Immigrant Heritage. 

Annabella Coleman’s parents have been divorced for nearly five years, but Zendaya maintains that they still remain close and are committed to being collectively there for their daughter whenever she needs them. Most of the internet had no clue about this little detail, but Zendaya clarified it all in a tweet, saying, “My parents ain’t been together for a long time, y’all didn’t know cause we private + they still homies.”

One time, trolls on the internet made fun of Annabella Stoermer Coleman’s parents, calling them ugly, and feigning shock that they could ever produce a gorgeous daughter like Zendaya. Oddly, comments intended to be complimented by Zendaya turned out to be disgusting criticisms of the people who brought her into this world.

But Zendaya wouldn’t have it. After someone called her parents “ugly,” Zendaya posted a lengthy statement in response and detailed why she would never let anyone insult her parents just like that. First, she said that she was going to “pray” for this troll. She emphasizes that her parents are “two of the most selfless people” in the world. 

She added that her parents are lifelong teachers who’ve spent most of their time nurturing children and their dreams, not getting concerned about their looks and appearances. Annabella Stoermer Coleman’s parents might be proud of the way they brought them up in a humble way.

Zendaya is an Aunty

Zendaya revealed she has adorable nieces and nephews. “Honestly, I think about my little nieces and my little nephews first,” she told Complex in 2015. “Because one day they’re going to have Twitter and they’re going to have Instagram, and I’m going to be like, ‘This is how you handle it, kids.‘”

While it isn’t known exactly how many nieces and nephews Zendaya has, she said during a 2019 Vogue profile, that she was picking up one of her sister’s two daughters from school. It is unclear how many children Annabella Stoermer Coleman has.
