Aaron Elliston’s stepmother, Tanya had been treated for cervical cancer twice and she later was diagnosed with malignant melanoma, the most serious form of skin cancer. Vinnie confirmed in 2013 that both he and Tanya were battling skin cancer.

‘She has dealt with health issues every day since,’ he said, sharing that Tanya’s cancer was believed to be the result of drugs she took following a heart transplant 26 years ago.

He added: ‘When it comes to things like this, women are stronger. Suddenly I’ve gone from the one helping her to the one that needs support.
