
An armed robbery attack has happened in the Bono Region, a village near Wenchi.
According to reports, a young nurse of 25-years-old has been murdered during the attack.
Mr Ofosu Nuamah, among those who were attacked in an opel astra taxi, narrated that the 25-year-old nurse was shot three times to death and the robbers collected her belongings in her pocket,took everything.
He added that, It happened around 7:30pm.
The nurse was in her uniform,in an opel astra taxi cab with registration number GW 4850 X which was on the way to Nchiraa from Subinso II.
Mr Ofosu Nuamah said while narrating the story, “I am a mason and I went to so some work at Subinso II. After close of work it was a little late so I decided to board a taxi. A few kilometers to reach Nchiraa, we saw that some people on two motorbikes were flashing us with torchlights to stop. We thought a vehicle has broken down so we slowed down only to see they were robbers. A female nurse who joined us was shot to death. They fired three times and killed her, put their hands in her pocket and took everything. It happened around 7:30pm. I suspect the guns used were AK47”
It took the police several minutes to arrive at the scene to rush them to a health facility, he added.
The Medical Director at the Wenchi Methodist Hospital,Dr. Oman Abraham stated that one person has been referred to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
He explained that two other persons are currently in admission at Wenchi Methodist Hospital.
