“They said I will hear from them, but No one has given me even Gh¢10”-late constable Osei’s mother reveals

I hope you remember the Ghanaian police officer who was shot in cold blood together with a pregnant woman at James Town in Accra right?

Let me remind you, it was broad daylight on the streets of James Town in Greater Accra, where armed robbers on motorbikes attacked a Bullion Van killing the escorting officer, Constable Emmanuel Osei, and a pregnant woman.

The mother of Constable Emmanuel Osei has revealed to Kofi Adoma of Angel TV that, since they buried her son, she has heard from neither the government nor the police service.

According to the mother of the late officer, during the burial service of the late officer Constable Emmanuel Osei, many promises were made to her by the government and the police service but only God knows when these promises are going to be fulfilled. She then added that she has not even received a penny not even Gh¢10 from anyone.

“During my son’s funeral, many people told me that, I will hear from them but since now no one has given me even Gh¢10. Emma was everything to me” The mother revealed.

We were in Ghana when Maxwell Mahama was beaten to death by strangers, the government took care of his wife and gave her a huge amount of money. Why can’t we do the same to the mother of the late officer? Are their cases different from the others?
