Sy Kravitz is an American who was born Seymour Kravitz on December 10, 1924, in Brooklyn, New York City, United States of America. His parents are Jean Kaufman and Joseph Kravitz. He is of Russian Jewish ancestry.
Sy Kravitz’s mother, Jean was a housewife while his father Joseph worked at a telecommunications company. He has a brother called Leonard M. Kravitz, who he served in the military with. Unfortunately, Leonard died during the Korean War.
Speaking of Sy Kravitz’s education, he enrolled in Beverly Hills High School. He is a well-educated person who has received training and knowledge. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree after he attended and graduated from college in the year 1946.
Sy Kravitz married Erika and they gave birth to two children Laurie and Tedi Kravitz but separated in 1955. He later married Roxie Albertha Roker, who is an American actress who portrayed Helen Willis on the CBS sitcom The Jeffersons (1975–1985).
Sy Kravitz married Roxie in 1962 and divorced in 1985. They were together for nearly two decades. Roxie passed away due to breast cancer. She died on December 2, 1995, at age 66. She died in Los Angeles, California, U.S.
Career
Sy Kravitz was a television producer and former US military officer. He started as a soldier in the United States Army and served in both the Second World War and the Korean War. He was recruited into the United States Army. He enlisted in the army as a Green Beret. He later became a sergeant.
