 Patrick Leno was born on May 12, 1940, in New York, United States of America. Patrick was born to her parents, Catherine Muir Leno and Angelo Leno, with siblings Jay Leno. He was the older brother (by ten years) of Jay Leno. Patrick was a Vietnam War veteran and unlike his famous brother who was in the entertainment industry, Patrick was an American attorney.

Patrick and Jay Leno’s mother Catherine Muir Leno was born in Greenock Scotland, and their father Angelo Leno was born in New York but both of Angelo’s parents were from Flumeri Italy.

In terms of education, New Rochelle High School in New York. Yale-educated, Patrick was well known for being exceptionally gifted during his educational years. According to his high school yearbook during his teenage years, he participated in choir, tennis, Kiwanis basketball, and enjoyed building model ships.

Patrick spent some time in New Haven Connecticut while attending Yale. I believe he spent most of his life in various locations on the East Coast and eventually landed in Massachusetts.

Jay Leno’s elder brother, Patrick Leno died on October 6, 2002, in Burlington, Massachusetts United States at age 62. He died of cancer. He was buried in West Parish Garden Cemetery, Andover, Massachusetts United States. Patrick was born on May 12, 1940, in New York, New York United States.

Starting in 1986, Patrick Leno’s younger brother, Jay was a regular substitute host for Johnny Carson on The Tonight Show. In 1992, he replaced Carson as host amid controversy with David Letterman, who had been hosting Late Night with David Letterman since 1982 (aired after The Tonight Show), and whom many—including Carson himself—expected to be Carson’s successor. The story of this turbulent transition became the basis of a book and a movie. Leno continued to perform as a stand-up comedian throughout his Tonight Show tenure. In 1988, he received a contract extension with NBC itself.

Patrick Leno’s younger brother, Jay has claimed that he has not spent any of the money he earned from The Tonight Show, but lives off of his money from his stand-up routines. He reportedly earned $32 million in 2005.

In 2001, he and his wife donated $100,000 to the Feminist Majority Foundation’s campaign to stop gender apartheid in Afghanistan, to educate the public regarding the plight of women in Afghanistan under Taliban rule. Mavis Leno is on the board of the Feminist Majority.
