The President of Nigeria, Buhari, has congratulated the General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, as he turns 80.
The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina released a statement on behalf of the president as he lauded the man of God for his love and prayers for the country.
According to him, Pastor Kumuyi of the Deeper Life Church has left a blazing trail of a man of God who speaks positive things about the government that needs to be emulated by other pastors.
The statement titled ‘President Buhari greets Pastor W.F. Kumuyi at 80’ read, “The President felicitates with the family of the renowned preacher, members of the Deeper Life Bible Church, and Christendom in general, wishing the ‘spiritual General’ greater service to God and humanity, ‘in good health and sound mind.’
“President Buhari recalls his 2018 meeting with Pastor Kumuyi and wife, Esther, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, the warmth they radiated, and their love and prayers for the country, urging younger preachers to take a cue, and intercede for Nigeria and people in positions of authority, as God’s word enjoins.
“As Pastor Kumuyi reaches this milestone, the President prays that his vision for the country will be realised, and the works of his hands will continue to prosper.”
Pastor Kumuyi once gave out some words of hope that Nigeria can return to its old prosperous state.
He said: “We thank the Lord for what the Lord has done, and doing this we are doing together, seeing the Lord rolling away problems that people did not think will easily be rolled away like that neither seeing the people who are lame walking, people deaf and dumb the Lord healing them, and things like that.
