Stanley Tucci’s son is an actor

Unlike his twin sister Isabel Concetta Tucci, though, the actor’s eldest son has embraced his dad’s celebrity status and began following in Stanley’s footsteps. According to his IMDb, Nicolo made his acting debut in the 2019 TV mini-series MotherFatherSon. 

Although Nicolo and his siblings have not gained his father’s level of fame yet, the Hunger Games actor has opened up about his children on several occasions. While talking to Reuters in 2010, Stanley revealed Nicolo Robert Tucci and her siblings “don’t really like to watch” their dad act in movies.

“They just want me to be me,” Stanley Tucci revealed during an interview. “They’re great kids. They’re incredible. And they’re all really funny. Thank God.”

Nicolo Robert Tucci’s mother passed away when he was nine

Nicolo’s mother, Kate Tucci died on April 27, 2009, after battling breast cancer. According to Closer Weekly, Nicolo’s mother had different to provide for the family, including being a social worker, philanthropist, and TV producer for shows like “Full Circle” and “American Idol.” Before meeting his father, Nicolo’s mother was previously married to Alexander R. Scott. Nicolo Robert Tucci lost her mother when she was just 9 years of age, it was very hard for him and his siblings.

Stanley Tucci and Kate Tucci tied the knot in 1995. The couple were together for almost 15 years until Kate sadly died of breast cancer in 2009. Though Stanley was devasted to lose his wife, he said his heart broke more for their kids because they had to grow up without their mother.

“There’s all the blaming of yourself, which you can’t do, but you kind of do, and I’m just — I’m mostly sad,” Nicolo Robert Tucci’s father shared during a 2010 interview with NPR. “I’m sad for Kate that she can’t be here, and I’m sad for my children that they didn’t have the opportunity to spend more time with her because she was an extraordinary person.”

After taking some time to mourn his beloved wife’s death, Stanley Tucci gave love another shot with Emily Blunt‘s sister  Felicity Blunt. Three years after Kate’s sad dismay, the Devil Wears Prada actor walked down the aisle with Felicity Blunt in 2012. The couple has since expanded Stanley’s brood.

Stanley Tucci feels so “fortunate” that his wife is such a loving stepmom to Nicolo Robert Tucci and her siblings. “It is not easy to find somebody who is going to take on three teenagers and a widower. That’s a lot,” he told the Guardian in 2017. “But she was willing to take on that challenge. She cares for the kids as if they are her own, and it is a tough role, being a stepparent.”

In 2015, Nicolo and his twin sister Isabela made a rare appearance at the Audi Polo Challenge alongside their sister younger sister Camilla, their father Stanley Tucci, their stepmother Felicity Blunt, and actress Emily Blunt. The blended family posed for photos on the polo field in London. Nicolo seems to be very close with his father. The father-son duo was spotted attending the Wimbledon Tennis tournament together in 2019 per Closer Weekly‘s report.
