The new Multimillion-Dollar Market in Kumasi, Kejetia has once again been flooded after a downpour of rain.
According to traders in the area,the market always gets flooded anytime it rains.
The traders have lamented about the disturbing issue.
“We have called on KMA and the contractors severally to fix the situation but all to no avail. We have to wait for about 2-3 hours anytime it rains before we can open our shops and start work”, one trader stated
The flood has taken over the shops of the traders leaving them stranded.
The chairman of the petty traders association, Nana Kwesi Prempeh pleaded the support of the government.
However, he went on to further blame contractors for the shoddy work done.
He promised the traders that the association and its members will meet to decide on the next line of action.
Other areas like Adum, Roman Hill, Pampaso, and Alabar were not left out in the flood’s effect
