Shecky Greene and Nalani got married on December 6, 1972. The Comedian and the Polynesian dancer tied the knot on a Wednesday night in a double ring ceremony at the posh home of the dancer near the Las Vegas strip where both perform nightly at different hotels.
Greene who was 46 years old at that time close at the Riviera Hotel Friday night, and Kele who was also 40 will close at the Stardust the next day. It is the second marriage for both performers. Their wedding ceremony was performed by Nevada District Judge Thomas O’Donnell. The best man was Las Vegas columnist Joe Delaney. Matron on honor was Helen Beamer, a friend of the dancer.
Soon after their wedding, Shecky had to leave for Puerto Rico and Nalani had to take her act to Hawaii. “We were married for about 20 minutes before plane time,” -Shecky revealed. Things didn’t go as planned by the couple, Their marriage came to an end in 1982. The reason behind their divorce was not made public.
After their marriage came to an end, Shecky Green moved on and got married to Marie Musso, the daughter of Vido Musso, an American jazz saxophonist. The husband and wife have resided in Beverly Hills, California; Palm Springs, California; Las Vegas, Nevada.
