Milini Khan who is a carbon copy of the famous mother also inherited her sweet voice. As a singer, Milini is a member of the musical group, Pretty In Pink. The Pretty In Pink is an American female and multicultural R&B and new jack swing music group, active in the 1990s, having recorded for the Motown label.
The group is formed with five young girls Milini Khan, Taniya Robinson, Tameika Chaney, Maurissa Tancharoen, and Shey Sperry, and takes the name of Pretty In Pink (in reference to the film of the same name ), then signs with the famous record company Motown in 1991.

The group’s hit song is All About You which peaked at number 96 on the Billboard Hot 100, number 47 on the Billboard Hot Dance Music\Maxi-Singles Sales Chart, and number 28 on the Billboard Hot R&B Singles Chart, staying there for thirteen weeks.
The group toured with Milini’s mother, Chaka Khan, who helped them gain exposure on shows such as The Arsenio Hall Show. Despite Chaka’s assistance, the Motown record label did little to promote them and the follow-up single, Dreams, which was also released but failed to achieve success. Nonetheless, their debut album Wake Up was released, which would prove to be the group’s only one in 1991.
The band, which had a promising future, disbanded a few months later due to a lack of promotion and investment from their record company.
Milini continued to write songs and record as a choir over the next few years. She’s also done a lot of touring with Daughters of Soul, an international touring collective of successful female soul singers.

R&B icon Chaka Khan’s worse nightmare came true when her then-25-year-old son with Richard Holland was arrested for the murder of a 17-year-old boy, Christopher Baily. Milini Khan’s brother pleaded not guilty to the murder before being released on $2 million bail.
As the mother of the accused, Chaka Khan was on called to testify, described the victim as a bright talented young man, and said that Bailey would have survived the shooting if police had not delayed the entrance of the paramedics into the crime scene.
