Kathy Pol- Is Dr. Pol’s daughter Alive? Where is she now?

Kathy Pol is the daughter of Dr. Pol. Kathy’s father Dr. Pol, is a Dutch-American veterinarian known for his starring role on the reality television show The Incredible Dr. Pol on Nat Geo Wild. Dr. Jan Pol has been a practicing veterinarian for more than half his life.

In 1981 he and his wife, Diane, opened a vet business out of their home, and over the years it has grown to service more than 19,000 clients. Set in Central Michigan’s farm country, this reality series follows Dr. Pol and the work done at Pol Veterinary Services. Specializing in large farm animals, Kathy’s father, Dr. Pol treats horses, pigs, cows, sheep, alpacas, goats, chickens, and even an occasional reindeer. The program also features Dr. Brenda Grettenberger, who has worked with Dr. Pol since 1992.

Kathy Pol is the eldest of all three adopted children of Dr. Pol and his wife Diane. She learned everything about farm chores at an early age from her father.

Dr. Pol’s married life is an inspirational story for those who long to live with a single partner their whole life. The good doctor married Diane Pol in 1967, and after over 50 years they are still together. Despite a long married life, the couple has not given birth to any children. Many might look at the shortcoming of their marriage, however, on the bright side, Dr.Pol and his wife adopted children to share their love for the little ones.

Charles Pol is the only son and the other two Diane Pol Jr and Kathy Pol are the daughters.  Kathy was first to be taken into the family and a few years later was Charles.

Kathy was born Kathlene Pol on August 21, 1973, she is still alive and at the age of 51 years as of 2024. She is American, and if ethnicity is concerned, she is of Caucasian origin. Kathy grew up on a farm in Michigan where she learned about taking care of animals and also helped her father on farm calls.

Kathy Pol attended Chippewa Hills High School in Remus, Michigan after graduation she attended Delta College in Bay City, Michigan. She currently works as a Phlebotomist in the McLaren Bay Region.

Kathy Pol was married to Greg butch. After getting out of college she and Greg tied the knot on July 30, 1995. The two remain married for twenty years and during this period she gave birth to a son and a daughter, Adam, and Rachel Butch.

Kathy Pol and Greg lived together in Bay City, Michigan and Kathy continued to inhabit the place after the death of her husband at the age of 50 on February 20, 2016, suffering from cancer. Kathy’s son Adam grew up to become a certified Pharmacy Technician which brought a lot of joy to the family. However, on September 18, 2019, Adam and his wife, Diane, passed away at the age of 28. The cause of Butch’s death was not made known. According to reports, Adam Butch loved playing guitar and making music.

During the Pol family’s tragedy, they also experienced bittersweet joy in October 2019 at the addition of a new member to the Pol family and the household of Charles Pol and his wife, Beth. Kathy Pol’s Neice, Abigail, joined the family a month after his cousin Adam’s passing.

While the family’s grief surely has been tremendous, the welcoming of a new baby has hopefully helped the family through their pain.

Kathy Pol’s father is surprised that the show became a hit “watched by everybody—all kinds of life, all ages, big family show, and I think this is what is so fantastic.” He credits his son Charles, who is the series producer, and who successfully pitched the series to National Geographic. According to Pol, Charles counseled him, “Dad, do your work. That is interesting enough. Don’t look at the camera, don’t do anything for the camera.” Pol continues. “… it’s not scripted; it is real.”
