Ignatius Annor has been trending in Ghana for coming out as an activist for the LGBTQI community and also a member. His confession came as a surprise to many while it came as a clearance of doubt to those who long suspected his sexual orientation.
He came out on National TV in an interview on Joy News on Monday, February 22, 2021. Annor said he initially denied he was gay it in the past for fear of losing his job and being stigmatized and attacked.
Ignatius Annor who had probably psyched his mind for any kind of backlash did not seem to care about what anyone had to say. An Instagram post sighted by Annor stated that the day he came out clean is a day he will never forget. According to him, he would always remember February 22 as a celebratory day every year.
