Henry was welcomed into the world on 30 January 1911, in Denver, City, and County of Denver, Colorado, United States. His father’s name is Henry Casper Bruderlin and his mother’s name is Sarah Elizabeth (Hurst) Bruderlin.

Henry’s family surname “Bruderlin” reportedly originates in Switzerland. Most details of his early life and education aren’t in the public. He worked as a building contractor. He met his then-future wife Helen Sue (née Mansur: 1916–2014). How, where, and when he and Helen met is unknown. Per the Guardian, James said: “I’m the eldest of four – I have two brothers and two sisters. My brother is probably my best friend, though we’ve had very different lives. He had the hottest recording studio in Los Angeles for 22 years and now he’s in the computer-installation business. What we have in common are jokes.”

We’re the Monty Python of LA.” James Brolin made it known that growing up, his parents Henry Bruderlin and Helen Sue Bruderlin were fun and had a lot of parties. “My father and mother were fun – they had a lot of parties,” James said of his parents.

According to James, his “mother was fine with the entertainment world” but his father, an aeronautical engineer, said he would be better off getting a masters in business or law.” James said: “I didn’t listen. I started out wanting to be a filmmaker, with no idea of being an actor. I always thought movies were glamorous, so I saw what it was like on set. I thought, this is for me.”

James Brolin is now one of the most popular actors. He is the recipient of two Golden Globes and an Emmy. He has been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. James Brolin’s father, Henry Bruderlin is no longer alive. He died on 12 January 2002, in Newport Beach, Orange, California, United States, at the age of 90. He was buried in Pacific View Memorial Park, Corona del Mar, Orange County, California, USA. He was survived by the mother of his children Helen Sue; daughters, Susie Desper, and Barbara Johannessen; sons, James, Brolin, and Brian Bruderlin and several grandchildren.
