Harry Streep III was born on July 31, 1951, in Summit, New Jersey, United States of America. As of 2023, he is 72 years old. Harry is the son of  Mary Wolf Wilkinson and Harry William Streep, Jr. and also the brother of Dana Streep and Meryl Streep.

Harry and his siblings were raised as Presbyterians. However, later in life, when his elder sister Meryl Streep was asked if religion played a part in her life, the actress replied: “I follow no doctrine. I don’t belong to a church or a temple or a synagogue or an ashram.” Also in another interview in December 2008, the actress alluded to her lack of religious belief when she said:

Harry’s elder sister is often described as “the best actress of her generation” after receiving numerous accolades throughout her career spanning over four decades, including a record 21 Academy Award nominations, winning three, and a record 33 Golden Globe Award nominations, winning eight. Meryl Streep won her first Primetime Emmy Award in 1978 for her role in the miniseries Holocaust.

She went on to receive her first Oscar nomination for The Deer Hunter that same year. Harry Streep III has been married to his wife Maeve Kinkead since December 31, 1980. His wife who is also an actress is known for Guiding Light (1952), Antigone/Rites of Passion (1990), and City of Hope (1991). The couple are parents to two children- Mary Wolf Wilkinson and Harry William Streep, Jr.

Harry Streep is also an uncle to his sister’s four children-  Louisa Jacobson, Grace Gummer, Mamie Gummer, and Henry Wolfe and also to his younger brother Dana’s four children. The siblings appear to be very close. Harry Streep and his sister attended a party honoring Meryl Streep on October 20, 2016, in Rome, Italy.
