Freeman Meskimen’s ex-wife is best known for her role as Marion Cunningham on the ABC television sitcom Happy Days, on which she starred from 1974 to 1984 and for which she received two Primetime Emmy Award nominations. Talking about her divorce, “When I was 40, I got divorced. Nobody had a job [for me], and I had two small children,” the TV star opened up to ‘Closer Weekly’ in an interview. “I rented out one of the bedrooms in my house to pick up some money,” she continued. “I’d think, ‘I made $35 today.’ It was hard.”

But despite her continued success in Hollywood, Marion found herself struggling to pay her bills after her marriage to Freeman Meskimen ended. “I’d thought I would get over it quickly, get everything straight in my head. So I went to see a shrink, and I do recommend it for anyone,” she opened to the outlet about her tough times.
Meskimen’s son Jim Meskimen is also an actor
Following in his mother’s footsteps, Meskimen’s son Jim Meskimen. He is also a comedian and impressionist and is best known for his voice-over work in video games. Jim also appeared in the British series Whose Line Is It Anyway? (1988) several times, and was a recurring character on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (1990) for two seasons. As a designer/cartoonist, Jim created dozens of characters, weapons, and vehicles for the original “Thundercats” animated series.
At the age of 25, Meskimen’s wife, Ross made her debut on the big screen in “Forever Female” in 1953. She went on to act in classic television series like “The Lone Ranger,” “The Donna Reed Show,” and “The Brady Bunch.”
