Felix Ofosu Kwakye Reacts To The Live TV official ceremony ‘to welcome’ Covid vaccine

Currently,a statement was released from the Information Ministry.

It was revealed that a ceremony will be held at the kotoka international airport, while the government receives the first batch of COVID-19 vaccines today Wednesday, February 24 2021.

According to the statement, there will be a brief ceremony which will be televised on (GTV) Ghana Television and the Ministry of Information’s Facebook page, receiving the vaccines.

Felix Ofosu Kwakye, the former Deputy Information Minister has reacted to the ceremony.
According to Felix Ofosu Kwakye, the government should simply show a business-like attitude and take the vaccines into storage without the unnecessary pomp and circumstance.

He has questioning the logic behind a grand ceremony to welcome the COVID-19 vaccines into the country.
He has suggested that the event is a spectacular mediocrity.

He said “So the Akufo-Addo government is actually going to hold a ceremony complete with live coverage to receive vaccines arriving at the Airport?Vaccines? How about just showing a business-like attitude and having the vaccines taken into storage without the unnecessary pomp and circumstance?”
